Important Administrative Post!
I had numerous reports of pop ads that come from loading the site and/or during the process to leave a comment that I had nothing to do with that contained offensive material.
I found two different suggestions to try to deal with it. One was to run a spyware program to look for malware that could be on my computer and there was none to be found. The other suggestion was to look at the template code for something that could be in there and again I did not find anything but it is easily missed by someone with limited knowledge so I changed the template.
I am obligated to to certain ads and links that I will restore slowly over the next 24 hours into the new template.
I need your help though, if you still get the pop up please let me know. If nothing else I can move the site but that would be a big headache for everyone.

no pop ups with new template. I had some attempted with the old one earlier today but FireFox suppressed them for me.
Running spyware scanner on your own pc will not make a difference -- though it is a good idea.
There are some new trojans that hijack blog templates. It happened to Maoxian several times few months ago.
With Blogger you can save a copy of your template locally. Get your new one working to your liking and then make a local copy of it. Update your copy when you make any changes. When something like this happens in the future simply restore your template from local copy and over-write the hijacked one.
Do not bother spending too much time on fighting it, the apes will keep evolving.

believe it is worth using Linux as BASE system, then run Windows [if you must ..] in a Virtual PC on top of Linux base.
.
Mozilla-Firefox browser has an excellent extension "No-Script"
. . . Mozilla + No-Script will solve most of these kinds of probs.

I have never gotten a pop up here and I've been coming here for a couple of years. I use Explorer and have a pop up blocker, but it doesn't always work. No problem here though.
i use IE 7 Norton Antivirus and a Google Pop-up blocker and have never had a pop-up from this site. thanks

Any chance you could accidentally forget to do that? After all, that might be where the trojan is located.
It's amazing how fast your blog loads without all that crap. :)
