The really really cool thing about this is....I got the same type of info in 2000. And it was interpreted in a way to move money out of tech and telecom and INTO oil, materials, and utilities.
To me, this bears note. And respect for what has happened since 2000 with all these sectors...and where the NEXT move may be!
Good Real Money post yesterday, Roger. In a frothy market, using a strategy to mitigate "immortal" investors before they discover that they are mere mortals is timely.
I forward your posts (when I remember) to my children at their military stations. A recent post was received by my son during joint maneuvers with the Russian Navy in the North Pacific. He shares your posts with the junior officers on his ship. This time, he had several Russian officers aboard, and your article sparked intense interest amongst them. They apparently have a passion for the many paths to wealth we take for granted, and had an entire evening of questions regarding stocks, world markets, etc. My son said he felt like Jim Rogers (without the bow tie and the Harley). Thanks to you....
His best advice? IMO, spend 25% less than you earn.
great story, T, thank you
Another good reference is the Callan periodic table.
