Wow, this is a dull day. There is no action in the market, I'm finding very little to read and Barney Frank is still cantankerous.
This is a stock market blog about portfolio management, foreign stocks, exchange traded funds and the occasional musing about my firefighting experiences. The point here is to share process.

It may be a dull day for you, but I thought you might be interested to know that I have uncovered what looks like the smoking gun vis-a-vis your ability to move the markets: http://vixandmore.blogspot.com/2007/02/valentines-day-massacre-curse-of-not-so.html
From now on, I guess I'll have to watch your posts more carefully...
Cheers,

man I loved that show when I was a kid. Looks pretty cheesy now though.

Holly (the little girl)=Phoebe Cates
who knew?
I did not know that. She was my first TV crush, I think. (Either her or Mary Ann on Gilligan's Island).
I had to Google "Land of the Lost" because I had no memory of it. I guess it is my age--I was 14 in 1974 and it said that it was a children's program. (sigh)
I remember Gilligan's Island very well (I had a small crush on the Professor), and I had huge crush on William Shatner (and his new PL commercials are so terrific when he is schmoozing that hotel clerk!). But one of my all time favorites was Lost in Space. "Danger, danger Will Robinson!" is indelibly etched into my memory along with Dr. Smith's shrieks at the impending danger. What a hoot!
Shatner!
No I didn't zap your da...well yes I did.
According to various fan sites, Wikipedia, etc. Holly Marshall (the little girl in Land of the Lost) was played by Kathleen "Kathy" Coleman for the entire length of the series; can't find any reference to Phoebe Cates.
PS: Since the topic is Lost I guess none of this is OT but, surprisingly, Gilligan's Island only lasted a season or two and really only took off in syndication; according to a friend "in the biz" the stars of the show appear to have been convinced that they should give up residuals for increased salary during the show's brief run so they didn't make any money afterwards (and man was there a lot of money made by someone). That aside I naturally still wonder how it was possible for The Professor to build a radio out of scrap or what have you but remain unable to patch a boat; guess I'll never know.
RW, interesting. The site I found the L of the L picture on said it was Phoebe Cates it had a picture of the little girl along with an older Phoebe I would link to it but the older Cates photo she was kind of naked. I can't vouch either way but there is an uncanny facial resemblence between the little girl and Cates.
Is that character on the right Dennis Kucinich trying to get into the picture?
Roger,
I like dull days when the markets go up. To bad the markets cannot go up every day, as that would really be dull. We would not have to worry about retirement etc.
