As a rank amateur when it comes to m&a, I can offer no sage-like analysis of this proposal. I think that we will continue to see efforts of enlightened natural resource companies and individual countries to harness as wide a basket of vital natural resource goodies as possible (look at China in Africa, Russia going it alone, etc.). And it is even better for these entities if they spread their risk by including developed country resources as well as those in more volatile or hostile areas in their portfolios.
While this continues, the U.S. will be held hostage to far left Democrat legislation forcing class warfare-style limitations on our own natural resource strategy and implimentation.
