As some of you may know I volunteer as a wildland firefighter. We had a smoke call already this morning that I just got back from. It was a camp fire burning very green wood that was kicking up a lot of smoke.
I was working on a post before the call that I will have up shortly.
I TiVo'd the Siegel/Bogle smackdown. If there is anything there I will post about that later.

had some holdings in 'short' ETF
funds.
When the market 'jumps up' as it
did Tuesday, do you attempt to exit these positions briefly, to
re-establish them at a later date?
Or do you just continue to hold
them?
I am not trying to be nimble with the short ETF.
As I mentioned when I bought the fund was that the consequence of being wrong would be a slight lag on the way up.
We have gone up, I have lagged slightly but not a lot, IMO, and have kept most of the spread I put on earlier in the year.
If lower high turns out to be correct there will be some sort of drop that starts between here and 1325.
I may try to sell the short
ETF into a decline but that remains to be seen.
I'm going to start a blog. It will only have one piece of content: I'll tell you whether I'm contemplating buying the double short Nasdaq ETF or not. Because when I am, that's a sign of a immanent rally.
Monday I was thinking about buying it.
