Talar Ni Engelska?
That is Swedish for do you speak English which I will need for the next few days. My wife and I are going to Sweden tomorrow morning for five days and then hitting Iceland for five days. We plan to do some touristy stuff, some outdoorsy stuff and hopefully, ahem, very little conspicuous consumption.
We fly from Phoenix to Minneapolis to Reykjavik to Stockholm. Needless to say we are very excited.
The US markets open mid afternoon and close late in the evening. I will be close to the market, my wife has stopped being annoyed with me on this, and I will be posting to the blog throughout the trip.

Roger,
Have a great vacation. My wife and I are planning to go to Scandanavia next June with Tauck Tours for 2 wks. I have heard good things about that part of the world and temps run high 60s to low 70s most of June and into July.
How will you maintain internet access on the trip? We have found/used internet cafes in most places we have visited.
thank you.
internet cafe's should do the trick. As lap tops go, mine is huge so I am going to leave it here.
Roger,
Have a great trip, especially in Iceland.
Best Regards,
HLP
Your wife has not stopped being annoyed. She is waiting patiently for the right moment to get you.

The good news: everybody speaks English in Sweden, so you will have no trouble with that.
The bad news: Internet cafes are viable in place with low internet penetration. Scandinavia is netted to the gills. Still, you may be able to find pay-terminals in places like malls or train stations. Or, why not, just use a free one in a public library.
Hope you're having a great time there Roger. My grandfather came over from Sweden in the early 20th Century, but don't really know much about the country.
Have fun!

I've been so busy I didn't catch this post until just now. I hope you're having a great time on your vacation. I'm very envious of your trip to Sweden. Always wanted to go since my mother is from Sweden. Take some good pictures and post them!
Ha det sa bra!

Thanks, MT, I'll have some photos when I get back
