The hurricane coverage and footage is making for a very long day. I suppose they have to do this but a day like this is a terrible time to make strategic shifts to a portfolio because of what might happen as a result.
I think it would be very human to have an emotional response the might lead to portfolio changes. The SPX is down 1.20 points today. I don't view that as a catalyst for anything.
I am implementing a couple of new clients today but an not doing anything differently. A big focus for me is to remove emotion from what I do. So far so good. I hope you don't let the media's gloom dictate what you do.

Please read the recent comments by Steve Forbes at Forbes.com (go to columnists section), especially his comments about the stock market. He's one sharp dude. Frankly, I'm using this time to revise my portfolio somewhat -- sell some stuff; buy some stuff.
