I Need Reader's Help

I need to ask for some help from you. Our firm is interested in starting a mutual fund. The primary purpose (and there demand for this) would be to, as an example, allow the adult children of clients to access my money management. Also as we are all in our late 30's and early 40's it would also allow friends of ours to access what the firm is doing as well. Another objective would be to create an easy to reference performance composite. I have written before that while there is a lot of overlap between clients All clients have a tweak or two that makes for differentiation between the portfolios.

We have been in touch with several companies that, for lack of a better phrase, host all of the services we would need to employ. We are at a point in our research where we have questions that would best be answered by anyone that has gone through this experience and might be able to help us with a couple of questions from the small fund manager's perspective.

So if you or someone you know has experience starting up a mutual fund and you'd be willing to answer a few generic questions about starting up please email me at rogernu@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Roger, I haven't ever started a fund myself, nor do I know anybody who has. However, one of my favorite financial writers, Arne Alsin, has. I have been reading him for years, and have emailed him about various topics and always received a response. He had been doing private money management for a long time, but a couple of years ago began The Turnaround Fund. I am sure he would answer questions you might have. His website is at www.alsincapital.com.
