Best Squawk Box Ever

Barney Frank has been getting ready for Alan Greenspan and warmed up on Steve Leisman. That was a real treat for me to wake up to. Congressman Frank has been locking horns with Greenspan for a very long time. I'm not sure why he does this. For all I know Frank is smarter than Greenspan but something gets lost, for me, in the delivery. I am on board with challenging process but it actually seems like the congressman makes it personal. It also seemed like he went out of his way to rile Leisman. No wonder stuff doesn't get done on the hill. I'm going to make some popcorn, open a giant box of Junior Mints and make a day of it.

Squawk also had John Hussman on for too short of a time. He is someone we can learn from, I know I can. He got a couple of stock picks out and that about it. He says he focuses on risk adjusted returns. This is the type of approach I try to take to a point but I don't think I have ever used that term on the blog before. Here is a link to his site. http://www.hussman.net/

Barney just likes a good in your face fight, doesn't matter who or about what.

He is something of a hero now for challenging Eason Jordan's appalling slander of American troops at Davos. It was just Barney seizing the moment.

True enough. One little nugget, Barney is the rep for the town in MA where I grew up. He'd be my guy if I never left.
